A two-day ‘New Zealand Education Expo’ was held in Dhaka, offering Bangladeshi students opportunities to pursue higher education, scholarships and international careers in New Zealand.

Organized by Global Wings, the education expo was held on July 17 at Hotel Westin in the capital and on July 18 at the organization’s own office.

Representatives from several world-renowned public and private universities and educational institutions in New Zealand participated in the expo, organized for students interested in pursuing higher education in the country.

Students had the opportunity to interact directly with university representatives and learn about various academic programmes, admission procedures, tuition fees, scholarships, credit transfer opportunities and future career prospects.

A large number of students and guardians attended the two-day event. Students received expert guidance on selecting universities and academic programmes based on their educational qualifications and future career goals.

They also discussed the application process, academic requirements, English language proficiency and career planning for pursuing higher education in New Zealand.

The expo also offered students the opportunity to submit applications on the spot. Detailed information was also provided on credit transfer opportunities and merit-based scholarships of up to 100 percent for eligible students.

Chairman of Global Wings, Dr Anisur Rahman Khan, said interest among Bangladeshi students in pursuing higher education in New Zealand is steadily increasing. The education expo was organized to create an opportunity for students to communicate directly with representatives of New Zealand universities and educational institutions.

He said, “We organize such events to help students plan their higher education based on accurate and reliable information. Representatives from various universities and educational institutions in New Zealand spoke directly with students. As a result, students were able to obtain essential information on admissions, scholarships, course selection and career opportunities from a single platform.”

Global Wings authorities said New Zealand is becoming increasingly popular among Bangladeshi students due to its quality education system, internationally recognized universities, safe environment and opportunities to build a career after graduation.
