An Australian Education Expo featuring Australian leading universities was held in Dhaka on Wednesday, providing Bangladeshi students with first-hand information on higher education opportunities, scholarships, student visas, and career prospects after graduation.
The day-long event was organized by Australian Education Service -AES Study Abroad at the Lakeshore Hotel in the capital.
The expo was inaugurated by Shubhashish Chakma, Chief Executive Officer of Australian Education Service.
Representatives from a wide range of Australian universities attended the event and interacted directly with prospective students.
Around 30 leading Australian universities and higher education institutions participated in the expo, including Monash University, Macquarie University, Adelaide University , The University of Western Australia, and Deakin University.
Throughout the event, university representatives offered personalized counselling on academic programs, admission requirements, scholarships, tuition fees, research opportunities, English language requirements, student visa procedures, and future career pathways in Australia.
Addressing the event, CEO Shubhashish Chakma said Australia continues to attract a growing number of Bangladeshi students because of its globally recognised education system, high-quality research facilities, multicultural learning environment, and promising post-study employment opportunities. He said the expo was designed to help students make informed decisions by connecting them directly with university representatives and providing accurate guidance on studying in Australia.
Students attending the expo also received individual consultations on university selection, application procedures, financial planning, scholarship opportunities, visa documentation, part-time employment during studies, and long-term career prospects.
The organizers said Australian Education Service -AES Study Abroad will continue to provide free counselling and support through its Kalabagan and Banani offices, assisting students with university applications, scholarship advice, visa processing, and other higher education services.
